A global university, it is transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research.

In fact ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields, deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to its communities.

Its academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 12 of its research areas assessed as world-leading.

CambridgeshireLive Heroes Awards 2021

ARU has sponsored the CambridgeshireLive Heroes Awards for the last decade and felt the young heroes award category was fitting as they are an educational institution.

The category is aimed at people who have strived to overcome adversity despite their youth – whether overcoming personal challenges or taking on greater responsibilities.

It celebrates young people aged 21 and under who have shown extraordinary perseverance and maturity, amazing individuals who have made a difference to their community during the last 18 months.

What ARU is looking for in a winner is someone who has shown courage and determination, someone whose experiences inspire others.
