Rob Baxter, Hunter’s technology divisional director, said: “We work with our clients and candidates to find out exactly what they want. In fact Hunter Solutions not only has clients and candidates returning to them for support, but has seen candidates who later become the client looking for staff.

“Clients trust our ability to understand what they do, what their business is and want to work with us,” said Rob. “We get to know the candidates, get to understand them, their motivations. We don’t see them as a unit of labour we get a fee for – we try to give them as positive an experience as we can.”

The awards, run in association with BusinessLive and newspaper Bristol Post, recognises the city’s best and brightest companies, bringing together senior leaders from wide-ranging industries, from large corporates to fast-growing start-ups. The ceremony will take place at Ashton Gate Stadium on November 24.

Professional problem solving

According to Rob, there has never been a better time to find employment where tech jobs are concerned. “We are very much a candidate driven market” he said. “There have never been more vacancies around than at the moment.

“Because of the history we have, our database and relationships, we will find the best person. I see our business as a professional problem solving business.

“We know recruitment is difficult and can be a real challenge for those who don’t do it every day and we try to make it as easy and as seamless as possible.”
