Chair of Dragons RFC David Buttress takes up new role as CEO of energy giant OVO
Chairman and part owner of Welsh rugby region Dragons RFC, David Buttress, has been appointed chief executive of energy supply giant OVO. Mr Buttress, a former chief executive of Just Eat, will take up his new role with OVO, which has four million customers, in May.
The former pupil of Croesyceiliog Comprehensive School, started his career with Coca-Cola Enterprises before co-founding e-commerce giant Just Eat, which under this watch listed and became a multi-billion-pound business on market capitalisation.

Mr Buttress became chair and a minority owner of Dragons RFC in 2017. Last year, with fellow investors David Wright and Hoyoung Huh, he finalised a deal to take the club private and out of WRU majority control.
He will succeed Raman Bhatia as chief executive of OVO who is standing down after four years in the role. OVO employs 5,000.
