Deadline extended for BristolLive Business Awards 2022

Businesses in Bristol still have time to enter the BristolLive Business Awards 2022. The deadline for entries has been extended to Friday, September 23.

The annual awards ceremony, run in association with BusinessLive and newspaper Bristol Post, recognises the city’s best and brightest companies, bringing together senior leaders from wide-ranging industries, from large corporates to fast-growing start-ups.

Despite a challenging year for business, amid rising inflation and economic uncertainty, many firms have been quick to adapt and innovate – and as a result are thriving. It’s these efforts we want to celebrate.

Last year, due to the rise in Covid infection rates and government restrictions, the decision was sadly made not to go ahead with a live awards ceremony. However, we are excited to announce this year’s event will be returning to Ashton Gate Stadium on November 24.

There are also three new awards being launched for 2022 – the Manufacturer of the Year Award; a Diversity and Inclusion Award; and the High Growth and Ambition Award, which recognises companies that have demonstrated rapid growth over the last 12 months – whether in increased sales, profit, market share, headcount, or moving to new or bigger premises.

The IAMBOB Special Award is also returning for 2022. BusinessLive and parent company Reach Plc first launched IAMBOB in 2020 to support the growth of the UK’s black economy. IAMBOB is a national campaign and part of the work Reach is doing to represent all the communities it serves around the UK. It includes a monthly newsletter packed with news and views from Britain’s black-owned businesses.

Among the winners announced for 2021 were Bristol University spin-out Peequal, which is developing the UK’s first women’s urinal and scooped the Innovation Award. Virtual training provider Virti won the Best Tech Award, while Xledger UK was named Best Place to Work.
