A healthcare administration firm is set to open a new office in Bristol which it says will create more than 50 jobs. Healix Health Services acts as a third-party medical claims administrator for insurers, helping businesses to develop healthcare benefit plans. It provides its services to around a fifth of all self-insured corporate healthcare trusts in the UK.

Healix said the expansion was driven by record growth it has seen for its healthcare trusts. While no details were provided on where and when the Bristol office will open, the company said it had partly chosen the city for the opportunity to work with talent from its two universities.

The firm said the 50 new roles would gradually be created over the next 15 months. The new recruits will consist of health claims assessors, with administration to be managed on a wider level from the company’s headquarters in Esher, Surrey.

Chief executive Ian Talbot said “The expansion of the team and opening of a new office in Bristol is a testament to this approach as demand continues to grow at pace post-pandemic.

“With the opportunity to work with two fantastic and reputable universities and access to such a wide talent pool, Bristol was a clear choice for our office and we’re looking forward to seeing the success of the team in 2023.”

Healix Health Services is part of the Healix group of companies, which also has regional offices in the US, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain and Kenya.
