Housebuilder Bloor Homes expands Exeter office after £2.7m works

Housebuilder Bloor Homes has said a £2.7m expansion of its office in Exeter has been completed.

The developer, which launched its regional division for Cornwall and Devon a year ago, said the expansion of its office base, to 17,000 sq ft, would provide larger meeting and training facilities.

The extension of Horizon House on Guardian Road brings the company’s investment in the new offices to £5m.

Sustainability features of the premises include solar panels on the roof to generate sustainable power for the building, LED lighting, and 20 charging points for electric cars.

Bosses at Bloor Homes said there were currently 30 members of staff permanently based at Horizon House, and with the extension there was now room to accommodate around 40 more workers as the company looks to grow out its operations in the area.

Managing director Bradley Davison said: “After a year of working from a combination of a modular building in the car park of the building site and a temporary office suite nearby, we have all watched with anticipation as the new extension took shape. It’s really great to have finally moved into this fantastic new space, which also boasts a 22-seat boardroom and 68-seat multi-purpose training and conference facility.”

Bloor Homes currently has developments at Pinhoe, Ivybridge and Cullompton, with more planned across the South West.
