A healthcare company that provides services for NHS patients across the country is creating 30 jobs through its latest graduate development programme.

Connect Health, which is based out of Quorum Business Park, is looking for physiotherapy, sports therapy and osteopathy graduates to become future musculoskeletal clinicians. The firm delivers a range of services including occupational health, physiotherapy and rheumatology, among others.

The programme will see recruits undertake self directed study via Connect Health’s ‘Academy’ learning division and monthly face-to-face meetings with its team, including clinical practitioners and clinical team leads. Those who complete the scheme – which includes roles across the country – are expected to progress on to becoming a senior musculoskeletal clinician within 18 months.

Steve Nawoor, national clinical lead at Connect Health, said: “Our one-of-a-kind graduate scheme proves immensely popular every year, thanks to our fast-track promotions to senior clinician level, the clinical quality of the programme, impressive remuneration package and Connect Health’s standing as an industry leader in MSK. Graduate schemes like this are so important, not only for us to bring fresh talent into the business, but to support the MSK healthcare landscape – particularly with the ongoing deficit of skilled clinicians in the UK and in light of studies revealing a surge in musculoskeletal disorders nationwide.”

Joana Rodrigues, a senior MSK clinician at Connect Health, completed the graduate development programme and was promoted before the course finished, in September 2021. The 25-year-old, who is originally from Portugal, now works in Connect Health’s Lincolnshire Pain Services team.

She said: “The opportunity to continue to learn and develop my skills whilst working independently was what most attracted me to the programme. Having extra CPD time and training, provided by Connect Health, while having my own patients and earning money at the same time was really appealing. A cross between learning, while working, is ideal for a new graduate.”

Mr Nawoor added: “We have an unwavering commitment to delivering the best outcomes for patients, whilst offering our teams ongoing support and development, so it’s an exciting time to join Connect Health. With our forward-thinking clinical philosophy, we’re pioneering MSK initiatives that are key to NHS England’s Best MSK and NHS Plan programmes.”

Connect Health was established 30 years ago and now works with more than 50 NHS partners and employs more than 670 people.
