A Somerset linen clothing and homeware firm has rebranded and relaunched, creating four new jobs.

Tica Lily, which is based at Somerton Business Park, was previously known as All Sewn Up.

Husband-and-wife directors Carole and Tim Champion said they spent 18 months re-creating the firm and the range of products and services it offers.

The duo took on All Sewn Up as part of a portfolio of businesses in 2020, but said they wanted to develop and re-brand the concept before re-launching it.

The business has launched a made-to-measure sustainable linen homeware and clothing range as part of its relaunch. It also offers a repairs and adjustments service; upholstery; and creates custom-made orders.

Mrs Champion said: “Creating handmade sustainable products is central to our ethos. We appreciate how important it is to make items that are planet-positive while also being stylish and practical too.”

She added: “We also understand the need to create and sustain jobs locally and have a team of eight working on the project. The rebranding of All Sewn Up has allowed us to expand and create four new job opportunities too.

“Our team of extraordinary seamstresses use their expertise and knowledge to produce handmade products to order and often to measure.”

Tica Lily’s owners said they are looking forward to “exciting times ahead” following the pandemic.

Mrs Champion said: “We’d like to reassure our customers that Tica Lily will continue providing the same high-quality services as All Sewn Up did before.”

Tica Lily was named after its co-owners, with the addition of the word ‘Lily’, which was inspired by Mrs Champion’s late mother’s favourite flower, she said.

Mr and Mrs Champion also recently established a business called Cartim, creating recyclable industrial gowns for hairdressers, barbers and the personal care industry. The duo also own Needles and Pins (UK).

“Before Tica Lily was established, our seamstresses had experience working on a number of covers for various projects, such as light aircraft, classic cars and boats, so are adept at turning their nimble fingers to anything,” Mrs Champion added.
