Building work has begun on a new office development for two professional service firms in Louth.
The 10,000 sq ft addition to Fairfield Industrial Estate will be shared by East Midlands accounting and advisory business Duncan & Toplis and Grimsby headquartered Wilkin Chapman Solicitors.
Representatives from both companies joined design and build partner Stirlin Developments for a ground-breaking ceremony, having agreed to co-locate in September last year.

Managing director of Duncan & Toplis, Adrian Reynolds, said the new office – which it will own with Wilkin Chapman as a tenant – will help both companies to expand their offering to businesses in the area, helping them to support the local and regional economy:
“I’m absolutely thrilled that construction is now underway on our new offices in Louth and I’m very pleased that our friends at Wilkin Chapman are joining us in this ambitious project,” he said.

The number of people we employ in the area has also increased, meaning we’ve reached capacity on our current premises. This new office is a major investment which underlines our dedication to the region and it will also create a far better working environment for our team members, many of whom live in and around the town.”
When completed, with expectations of the year-end, it will provide contemporary, open-plan office space built over two floors with a 61-space car park, neighbouring Micronclean.
It will replace both companies’ existing premises in Louth and should be completed by the end of the year.
For Wilkin Chapman, partner Flora Bennett said: “We can’t wait to move into our new offices at Fairfield Industrial Estate alongside Duncan & Toplis, so it’s fantastic that construction is now underway. This will provide us with a modern, flexible environment from which we can better support our clients and our colleagues. Our new Louth office will allow for improved collaboration and communication between our colleagues and clients across the Wolds region.”

Designed by Lincoln-based contractor Stirlin Developments, the company is also leading on its construction.
Managing director Tony Lawton said: “We are delighted to be starting work on this bespoke new premises.
“The design is outstanding, with credit to our clients for the detailed brief and our design and development team for their ability to deliver upon the client’s requirements. While we were hoping to start construction on this a couple of years ago, the pandemic put the project on pause. However, this has given the team a chance to further improve upon the plans to ensure it fully supports a more flexible, hybrid working approach, with improved ventilation and additional parking spaces.”
