Winners of the 2020-21 Business Weekly Awards will now be unveiled in a ceremony at St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge on October 15.
Business Weekly, in consultation with leading sponsors, took the advice of medics and scientists over Covid as well as feedback from executives of local businesses to postpone the proposed September 7 gala dinner.
Lead sponsor Mills & Reeve has prepared in-depth reports on shortlisted companies for the current Awards and a Business Weekly team is close to making a decision on the winners and having trophies engraved.
The 2021-2022 Awards competition will be launched at the October handover of trophies and a banquet for the new competition has been booked for Queens’ College, Cambridge for Wednesday March 30, 2022.
Science and tech giants AstraZeneca and Arm have renewed partnerships and Cambridge Science Park has also rejoined the throng after a difficult period under lockdown which undermined their own golden jubilee celebrations. Excalibur Healthcare Services and Invoke Capital are among new sponsors.
We will keep shortlisted companies appraised of their progress over the next 14 days.
