External cladding issues game changer

Existing buildings over 11m in the UK have been identified as having a concerningly high number of potential fire safety issues.

One such issue is the requirement to create a fire compartment between the floors of a property, both internally and externally. The main safety concern with regards to external compartmentation is that should a fire break out on a particular floor, the fire could potentially break out into the inside the cladding externally, on the outside of the building’s façade and travel up to the next floor.

This issue, once identified up until very recently has only one real solution to resolve with the situation namely an expense scaffold being erected outside the building, the cladding removed & a passive fire solution installed. This type of remedy comes with a very high price tag and extensive disruption to the building occupiers.

National Fire Ltd has a revolutionary external cavity fire barrier solution deployed in the market today that will significantly reduce the cost, massively reduce the disruption, and lower the time frame to resolve these types of issues for building owners.

Our tested and approved system allows for a passive fire material to be pumped into the external cavity and which forms a fireproof seal. The system can potentially be installed using mobile access equipment in days not weeks reducing the costs for all concerned parties.

National Fire Ltd are a 3rd party approved passive protection company therefore can certify installations to the highest level of standards. Our external cavity fire barrier system is trailer mounted so can be deployed in most locations.
