How everyday items have risen in price in the past 12 months

UK inflation has surged into double digits for the first time in more than four decades.

Consumer Prices Index inflation (CPI) soared to 10.1% in the 12 months to July, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Here are some examples of how the cost of everyday goods and services has risen in the past year based on the ONS data.
